The rhythm is much slower. Beats have been removed, altered sounds rebuilt, and reassembled. The basic pattern, however, remains the same. The melodies come from Movements clearly.
Each of the tracks is very slow and quiet. The music is mysterious, and takes us back on a journey through empty space.
Particularly striking are the deep, soft bass. These were added and characterize the main picture.
The title names were changed, but are still associated with Movements.
The CD will be delivered as a digipak. Unfortunately, this album is no booklet is included.
The cover is beautifully designed. On the front we see a picture of a road. The inner part is characterized by images of sky and cloud.
I like the music very well. Of course I am a big fan of Solar Fields, and so I could not miss this album. If a little quiet, the music is very nice to dream. I can recommend the CD.
[ Altered ] Second Movements could be considered a remix album; but in truth it is way more than this.
For Swedish composer Magnus Birgersson a work of music can take many paths, and so this album is purely interpreting another way to move through sound.
Atmospheric in essence, almost beatless, the soundscapes invite the auditor to settle within and embark upon a profound floating experience.
As in the reminiscence of a dream, Solar Fields subtly recalls [ Movements ]
The artist sets the mood and tempo to slow motion and from this deep cocoon of sounds lets new inspiration rise.
This is highly innovative ambient. Immersive and impressive.
Mastered by Huby Sea at Ginger Cross Hill Studio. harmonies and melodies in a widely stretched manner with low resonating pads providing a soft texture upon which electrified and crunchy interferences glide.

Das ist das neue Album von Solar Fields. Es erschien am 23 Juli. Wie der Name schon sagt, hat dieses Album etwas mit seinem Vorgänger zu tun. Altered ist nichts anderes als eine neue Auflage des Albums Movements. Dennoch ist dieses Album anders.
Der Rhytmus ist viel langsamer. Beats wurden entfernt, Klänge verändert, umgebaut und neu zusammengefürt. Das Grundmuster allerdings bleibt gleich. Die Melodien aus Movements treten deutlich zum Vorschein.
Jeder der Titel ist sehr langsam und ruhig. Die Musik wirkt geheimnisvoll und nimmt uns wieder mit auf eine Reise durch den leeren Weltraum.
Besonders auffällig sind die tiefen und sanften Bässe. Diese wurden neu hinzugefügt und prägen hauptsächlich das Bild.
Die Titelbezeichnungen wurden verändert, stehen aber immer noch im Zusammenhang mit Movements.
Geliefert wird die CD als Digipak. Leider ist bei diesem Album kein Booklet enthalten, aus dem weitere Informationen entnommen werden können.
Das Cover ist schön gestalltet. Auf der Vorderseite sehen wir eine Abbildung von einer Straße. Der Innenteil ist durch Fotos von Himmel und Wolken gekennzeichnet.
Mir gefällt die Musik sehr gut. Natürlich bin ich ein großer Solar Fields-Fan und so durfte auch dieses Album nicht in meinem Regal fehlen. Wenn auch etwas ruhig. läd die Musik sehr schön zum Träumen ein. Ich kann die CD empfehlen.
