10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Zero... Go! In 2006, the sixth ENIGMA-soundship “A Posteriori” embarked on a new musical journey of discovery. The Latin title  translates to „based on experience, empirical“, and this aptly reflects the theme of this album.

Based on the combined experience of the five previous albums, Michael Cretu decided to explore new galaxies with his ENIGMA space-ship. Each song represents a different stage of this intergalactic sound-trip that lasts more than 50 minutes. “A Posteriori” focuses on the phenomena of the universe drawing the listener’s attention to the present state of humanity.

The single release "Goodbye Milky Way”, for example proclaims – based on scientific findings - that our galaxy will cease to exist: "In 5 billion years the Andromeda galaxy will collide with our milky way... A new gigantic cosmic world will be born."

Despite this seemingly dark undertone, a message of hope resonates throughout the album. Hope that drives mastermind Michael Cretu time and again: "For a better world without hate, follow your heart, believe in fate, only visions and the mind will guide you to the light."

Im Jahre 2006 erschien das nun sechste Album von Enigma: A Posteriori. Die Musik setzte neue Maßstäbe und es werden erneut elektronische Klänge mit Mystischem vermischt. Das Album beschreibt eine Reise durch das Universum auf einem intergalaktischem Raumschiff. Es durchfliegt verschiedene Zeiten und Welten, deren Phänomene sich in der Musik widerspiegeln.
Der Titel "Goodby Milky Way" zeigt uns deutlich, wie verbunden die Musik mit dem Universum ist. In dem Song wird beschrieben, dass in 5 Millionen Jahren die Andromeda-Galaxie mit unserer Milchstraße zusammenstoßen wird. Ein neuer Riese soll geboren werden.
50 Minuten Spieldauer werden von tiefen Tönen untermalt, sie Hoffnung symbolisieren sollen.
Michael Cretu spricht dabei eine Welt an, die frei von Hass, Gewalt und Trauer ist. Folge deinem Herz, zeige Glauben und du wirst zum Licht geführt.

Das Album gefällt mir sehr gut. Es ist eines der Besten, weil die Musik hervorragend komponiert wurde. Klare Klänge, mystische Sounds und angenehme Rhythmen sorgen für Entspannung. Teilweise werden diese von flotten Beats begleitet, die das Ganze auflockern und nicht zu düster erscheinen lassen.
